At the recent YWOLI project meeting in Griñón, Spain (a municipality of Madrid), I facilitated a workshop on Job networking and Career Search. A key discussion point in this workshop was how technological changes are changing the way we search for and secure jobs.
It is hard to believe but only 20% of jobs available are actually advertised! Connections have never been more important – the right people can help you get those jobs and technology is having a huge impact. Smartphones are changing the way we find jobs- 70% of people are job searching on their phone and Social media is making it easier to search for the right jobs.
